On a Winter's Day

Psychological research indicates that the cultivation of awe in one's life can lift us above the cynicism of our world and put us in touch with others in a way that allows us to see the ordinary kindness, courage, resilience and selflessness of our fellow human beings. It also indicates that access to awe is readily available -  it is literally all around you, if you just take a moment to pause and open your eyes and mind to the vast and mysterious in the everyday - like the simple beauty of a winter's day.
