Before committing to being an artist, I was in business for more than 20 years. During that time, I ran my own web design company, earned an MBA and Ph.D. in Organizational Management, becoming a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management, and ran a multi-million dollar construction fastener company. So when it comes the business side of creativity, I can help. 

Website Building

Building a website is a daunting task, I know. Back in the day I built them by painstakingly hand coding each line of html. These days I primarily use Wix and Squarespace (I can do other platforms as well, although Wix and Squarespace make ecommerce so easy it's hard to go another route). Accounting, Finance, and Business Consulting

I was Co-Owner and CFO of a Charlotte-based construction fastener company for almost a decade and I've done bookkeeping and accounting for sole proprietors as well as LLCs. In addition, I've run my own businesses and helped others start and run theirs. My MBA and Ph.D. in Strategic Management complement my business experience and I approach this work with a spirit of education - keeping you informed so you know why we are doing what. Services I offer in this realm include:

  • Bookkeeping (posting and categorizing expenses and revenues correctly and timely, creating and sending invoices, paying vendors, etc.)

  • Accounting (Bookkeeping + financial reporting and analysis of the trends and information in the financial data)

  • Strategy/Management Consulting (This runs the gamut from how to price work all the way up to developing a business plan to launch a new entity)
